Brief: Freestanding opening roof louvre with custom-made pergola, mesh blinds and heaters.
Project overview: This is a new property, built by the sea in Paroa Bay, Bay of Islands. The design included a freestanding opening roof with blinds and heaters to enable the owners to enjoy their outdoor living area all year round. Aurae was contracted to provide the entire system, no mean feat when the support structure had to be custom designed to conceal the blind rollers. Aurae successfully designed, supplied and installed the pergola structure, opening roof louvres, blinds and heaters to the architect’s specification and owner’s requirements.
