Located in the heart of Auckland City lies Barbarich Drive – the newest addition to the sought-after Stonefields development of townhouses.

Having worked with the developer of the townhouses for a number years, we are their trusted supplier for aluminium louvre and facade solutions.

With our ability to provide the complete package from design and manufacture to install, we were called upon once again to provide various louvre and facade products to enhance the townhouses, and make them look good.

Challenge

Proximity to surrounding houses is always a challenge when it comes to any new townhouse or medium-density housing development. For this project, the developer needed to ensure that a suitable facade solution was found for all houses in the development that would not only add privacy, but would also add a sense of unity to the homes.

They required a custom design that was cost-effective and would improve aesthetics. It was also important that the design was engineer approved for building consent.

Solution

Having worked with us for a number of years and on many different projects, the housing developer already knew that we produce inspiring louvre products, and couldn’t wait to see what we came up with for this project. We supplied a number of facade solutions including 200x50 RHS window shrouds with Solaris 100S louvre infill. We also supplied Caldera 150 fixed louvre pergolas and Solaris 110 clasp-fixed sunshade louvres.

The louvres allow a sense of privacy between each home and the louvre sunshades reduce solar gains, increasing energy efficiency for the houses. Combining aesthetically pleasing facade products with privacy and sun shading solutions has resulted in a timeless look for the homes, sure to impress current and future buyers.
