Located in the prestigious Epsom area, and near some of Auckland's top schools, lies Claude Road and the new Claude Terraces.

Claude Road is one of Epsom's most sought-after locations and it's not hard to see why. Just a stone's throw from Auckland's iconic Cornwall Park, and a short drive to the popular Newmarket shopping precinct, Claude Road does offer the best of both worlds. 

It's because of these benefits that more developers are starting to build in the area, with townhouses proving to be very popular.

We were approached by the developer to assist with a new residential housing development. In particular, they required a unique design element for the front of the Claude Terraces that would add architectural appeal.

Challenge

Our client wanted the townhouses to stand out and provide maximum street appeal. Depending on the design, townhouses have the potential to look the same so a style was needed that would make people take notice, while also blending in seamlessly with the surroundings.

Our client needed a bespoke facade treatment that would add some wow factor and ensure that this set of townhouses stood out from the rest.

Solution

We had the pleasure of designing, fabricating and installing the facade treatment for these townhouses. We knew that a bespoke solution was required and our dapple perforated screens were the perfect fit.

Dapple perforated screens make the perfect accompaniment to any new build or townhouse. Each screen design in the dapple range is unique and has been designed to not only provide an architectural statement but to showcase and enhance sunlight. When strategically placed on the exterior of a home they can also be used for added privacy. 

The dapple screens that were provided for the Claude Terraces were powder-coated white to blend in with the existing colour palette of the townhouses. The screens were then fixed to a secondary aluminium structure. 

The result is visually stunning and delivers strong aesthetics.
