Located in Three Kings, this new community development by Fletcher Living features architecturally designed apartments and townhouses alongside playgrounds and sports fields. The scale and scope of the development required a coordinated approach to facade elements across multiple residential buildings.

Aurae was brought in during the early design stages to provide aluminium facade solutions that would meet both the aesthetic requirements of the architectural design and the practical needs of the residents.

Three Kings Apartments Horizon Canopies by Aurae NZ

Challenge

Fletcher Living needed facade solutions that could be applied consistently across their Three Kings development while meeting all building consent requirements. The project called for privacy louvres between residential units, entrance canopies for weather protection, and pergola structures to define outdoor spaces.

The developer required a supplier who could handle the complete process from initial design through to installation, working within the construction timeline of a large-scale residential development.

Solution

Working from the early design phase, Aurae developed aluminium facade solutions tailored to the development's requirements. We prepared detailed shop drawings and PS1 documentation to streamline the building consent process, taking the engineering complexity off the developer's plate.

The final solution combined fixed aluminium privacy louvres to create separation between residential units, Horizon entrance canopies that provide shelter while enhancing the building entrances, and aluminium pergolas that establish defined outdoor living areas.

Our project management team coordinated closely with the on-site construction teams, ensuring each facade element was delivered and installed according to the project schedule without disrupting other trades.
